New city park in Banja Luka

The design concept of the park is inspired by the rivers Vrbas and Vrbanja, and by river-related notions such as flow, whirlpool, wave, meander, and delta. The entire park surface appears to “ripple,” both horizontally and vertically, creating “cuts” in the terrain where green-roofed structures emerge like waves. Some of these buildings have clearly defined functions, such as a restaurant and café, while others are multipurpose spaces that can host exhibitions, theater performances, concerts, film screenings, workshops, or educational programs. The green areas were planned to evoke a natural landscape, complemented by more urban settings around the buildings and the main pedestrian promenade.
